Built an optimized cab management system, slashing booking time by 90% and automating corporate invoicing.
Overview
Manual cab bookings via emails and spreadsheets were clogging operations for corporate travel desks. Mistakes, missed pickups, duplicate requests, and invoice disputes were frequent. There was no live view of bookings, no standardized invoicing, and no easy way to monitor vendor SLAs or cost breakdowns.
Zerozilla created a full-stack admin management portal for the cab platform, delivering automated workflows, real-time booking lifecycle visibility, and centralized reporting. Corporate travel desks now manage every ride type- local, outstation, and airport- with speed, accuracy, and traceability.
Problem
Organizations managed cab requests with error-prone spreadsheets and back-and-forth emails. Without a centralized platform, each ride booking took nearly 10 minutes, often leading to booking errors, missed cancellations, and incorrect fare applications.
There was no way to track vendor performance, ensure accurate invoicing, or view ride patterns by department or zone. Manual fare lookups and policy inconsistencies led to frequent payment delays and disputes, frustrating both vendors and finance teams.
We started with a spreadsheet-heavy, error-prone legacy process and reimagined it as a responsive, rule-based web app tailored for admin use.
Choosing the Technology
Node.js and React were chosen for agility and speed. GSAP and Framer Motion helped in building a snappy, interactive experience for real-time data visualizations.
Technology Stack
MariaDB handled structured data with ease, while Apache Server ensured reliable deployment. For UI, CSS with Goober was used for lightweight styling. Google Maps & Places APIs powered accurate geolocation and address autocomplete.
Tools Used
Jira was used for project tracking, task assignments, and sprint planning across the Agile lifecycle.
Methodologies Involved
Agile with Scrum methodology was followed, running daily huddles and weekly demos to iterate quickly and stay aligned with client needs.
